Today’s rushing by like its being chased by yesterday and late for tomorrow. I say, “Slow down, you move to fast,” which only appears to abbreviate time, accentuate action and accelerate the pace. Laree’s packed her overnight bag for a three-day visit to Stanford University, where she’ll be filming a debate between friends Gray Cook and Stuart McGill. She’ll learn, grow and discover, and gather educational material to process, edit and present to those advancing their understanding of muscles, structure and function, injury repair and injury prevention.

She does the work of half-dozen people arranges, prepares, manages, directs, coddles, provides meals and that’s all before she bids me farewell and leaves the house. Once on the scene, stand back!

In a week the rough footage gained from the various presentations and presenters will land on Laree’s desk and the real work will begin. Review and compile, cut and edit; create appealing program intros and wraps and smartly headlines informational content; pictures here and charts there and then the appendix.

Earphones on head, nose to screens, fingers to keyboard and she’s off.

Personal trainers, athletic trainers, coaches and clinicians, the finished product is for you. We’ll keep you posted. Ready, get set and go; prepare thyself to repair thy patron.

I’m still in stitches (no, not the funny ha-ha kind) and no word yet from the sword-wielding doctors on the condition of my condition. Nothing like a smidge of suspense to make life interesting. Tossing iron will have to wait til the wounds heal and the railroad-track sutures are removed been a week. From the looks of these, this could take a crew of six another week, sun up to sun down.

In the meanwhile to pass time, I’ll either go barehanded tiger hunting in Africa or mountain climbing in the Andes.

As for you first class bombers, train hard, eat right and be happy.

Later… God speed… DD B71
