Amino Acid Overview from Anabol Naturals

Amino Balance for Every Body

Optimal health, energy, strength, recovery, fat loss, beautiful skin, mood and brain function, muscle growth -- these are but a few of the benefits of the free form amino acids in Anabol Naturals' Amino Balance. But why are so many people and athletes not aware of the differences in amino acids and proteins, the differences in their form and the best way to take them?

What are Amino Acids?

Amino acids are the smallest molecules that comprise protein, commonly referred to as the "building blocks of life" -- they build all body and tissue protein. 75% of the body's solid weight is made up of proteins and their constituent amino acids. Unable to be efficiently stored in the body, amino acid reserves must be resupplied continuously.

23 amino acids support the growth, repair and maintenance of about 1600 different types of proteins in the human body, including muscles, connective tissues, hormones, enzymes, antibodies, hair, skin, nails and blood.

Free form amino acids are singular molecules, not attached by peptide bonds to other amino acids.

Crystalline free form amino acids do not need to be digested. They are assimilated directly into the body and ready to be utilized. Food proteins, so called "predigested" protein hydrolysates and peptide bond amino acids require from four to six hours to digest, in an energy depleting process. Food proteins and hydrolysates are often incomplete and malabsorbed, even resulting in extreme intestinal discomfort and flatulence.

What are the benefits of Free Form Amino Acids (FFAAs)?

BIOAVAILABILITY
Crystalline FFAAs are absorbed into the bloodstream and are available to the tissues within 20 minutes, requiring no digestion to be utilized. This ensures that the appropriate amino acids can be available immediately after exercise when the muscle is especially receptive to nutrients and blood flow remains high. FFAAs are not affected by other important factors that limit protein amino acid bioavailability: (1) the structural nature of the food -- as well as fat and calorie content (2) the cooking of the protein (3) the metabolic efficiency of the digestive system as influenced by genetics, age, overall health, specific diseases and illnesses.

HYPOALLERGENIC
FFAAs are hypoallergenic (extremely nonallergic). Many sources of animal and plant proteins cause allergic reaction. Amino Balance is molecularly pure and appropriate for the lactose intolerant and those who suffer a variety of food allergies. Protein toxicity is a common problem for athletes, especially bodybuilders who create serious liver and kidney conditions due to overconsumption and malabsorption of protein. To protect against protein toxicity, Amino Balance is used instead of protein, or as a digestive aid to improve assimilation of food protein.

FAT LOSS
To promote fat loss several FFAAs in Amino Balance increase the mobilization and circulation of stored fats in the body. Amino acids also convert fat to energy at the cell's energy source, the cell mitochondria. With many caloric reduction diets, Amino Balance provides not only fat burning benefits, but also a low calorie, low food volume source of protein with specific benefits to the muscles, liver and immune system critical to optimal health.

ENHANCED MUSCLE GROWTH
Specific amino acids, notably L-Leucine, L-Valine, and L-Isoleucine prevent muscle tissue breakdown during exercise. Amino Balance's free form amino acids accelerate muscle tissue healing and growth by providing a specific amino acid profile where they are needed, directly in muscle tissue. The result is faster muscle and strength gains, as well as enhanced recovery.

ENERGY
FFAAs provide two of the bodies important energy fuels: creatine phosphate and adenosine triphosphate (ATP). These are non-carbohydrate compounds that provide a direct source of energy for power, growth and vitality.
