The AAU Mr America contest in question was 1966 and it was indeed Sergio's last AAU contest. He took 2nd place with the consolation being the Most Muscular trophy along with most of the body part awards.

The AAU was famous (or, more correctly, infamous) for this kind of treatment which only hastened the rise to prominence of the IFBB.
