Thank you. I can't get over how many numbers people now juggle when they explain conditioning.

I go to workshops and people will ask me about these formulas. I am a strength coach and throws coach:

How much?
How far?

It's pretty simple.

Balance work, rest, play and pray (enjoy beauty and solitude)
Sleep soundly. Drink Water. Eat veggies and protein. Walk.
Wear your seat belt. Don’t smoke. Floss your teeth.
Put weights overhead. Pick weights off the floor. Carry weights.
Reread great books. Say thank you

I think some of the calculators (specifically the ACFT and Navy PRT and other similar calculators) are just taking your scores and then plugging them into the tables to get your score.

However, I could definitely see how someone can get lost in all the numbers if they're using all of them to judge their training.

As a side note, some of the calculators on that list (like true shooting percentage, eFG and some of the other ones) are fun to help you win random sports fan arguments for sports where a player's impact isn't always directly reflected on the stat sheet (like basketball).

As the "old guys" used to tell me in the F-4 Phantom, "you're measuring with a micrometer and cutting with an axe..."

I like that @WxHerk.
I once ran laps on a tiny track, 20 laps to the mile. With a big visible lap clock I could do some math and tightly manage my pace. It was fun for a little while...
Less Hercules, more Achilles.
