on may 2 i ran 7 miles and then spent 4 hours weed eating on my very steep yard in boots that were not tight enough, The next day I had pain in my foot ankle and lower leg. BY the 9th i just mild pain in my foot so of course i went for a 6 mile run.
The pain in my foot got worse. for the last 3 weeks i have only walked my dog.
The pain is mild but won't go a way. It is in my little toe and right beside it. I have wrapped it.
Has anyone worn a special boot or shoe with this type a injury,
I am trying to say off it as much as possible

My first port of call is always self massage and trigger point work.

Try foam rolling and hand massaging your calf and shin muscles, which can’t do you any harm, and possibly try rolling your feet on a small soft-firm ball (tennis ball or squash all, not a golf ball) or use your thumbs

The pain is just near the smallest toe and right beside it.
I will try rubbing it .
I have lacrosse ball that I have used on my back I will try that.

I had some mild plantar fasciitis once. Rub your calves and look for knots. Also, give yourself a week or two off running and come back slowly if it goes away. Of course, if it continues, go and see a doctor.

You might try different footwear or none at all when able. I developed plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago and spending more time barefoot or in more minimal shoes cleared it up in about 3 weeks.

Can you tell if the pain occurs when you try to move the toe in a particular direction? e.g. put a finger under it and try to push it down, or up, which might suggest a muscle or tendon. Or is it just "there" irrespective of movement, which might suggest some bruise or ligament damage?

Either way, keep pressure off and keep blood flowing. Sit barefoot while you watch TV and scrunch cloths under your toes, or walk barefoot on grass or sand when it's safe.

If it's toward the front of the foot and is on the bottom of the foot just back of the fourth or fifth toe, I would guess Morton's Neuroma. If it is on the toe itself, then maybe not. It doesn't sound like Plantar fasciitis. That generally is felt in the heel or along the facia at the bottom of the foot. I hope it is not a neuroma, because those are very difficult to treat. I have had that for years, as a result of poorly fitted running shoes. Sometimes, the pain goes away completely for periods of time. Then it comes back. Stretching the toes manually can help. Yoga toes are helpful, too. But you need a diagnosis from a podiatrist or orthopedist, not a bunch of folks on an internet forum.
Why are you squatting in the curl rack?
