Outrageous! Even young children are doped. Drug use is so pervasive that I doubt it will ever be controlled. As new tests are developed, new methods to avoid detection are utilized. It's pathetic.

It's virtually impossible to make the testing work. Unless you assign a monitor to each athlete 24/7 and even then . . corruption could nullify it.

Corruption was the major issue here.

In a recent tv series, a rising Norwegian politician was a former biathlete, and the Russians pulled up a positive test from the Sochi Olympics they'd suppressed, using it to blackmail him to be their guy.

As well as the corruption of the bribery, I'm sure there are a few instances of blackmail. Watch out for any former athletes in business or politics, I suppose.
