Hi all, hoping someone can assist me here.

I'm going through MMS for a third time, but it just occurred to me I may have either been doing it a little wrong last time, or I just can't remember how I was doing it.

So on the 2-3-5 rep scheme, how do we do it?

Is it, 2 reps, hold in the top position, 3 reps, hold in the top position, 5 reps,

or

2 reps, re rack the bar, rest for a short while, 3 reps, re rack, rest, 5 reps?

Just wanted to clear this up as if its the first option I think I may have set my weight just a tad high at 95KG on the first day.

Thanks

P.S Dan, if you're around still, I know you have said that the program is the program but just how detrimental will be adding a little arm work on each recharge day? My arms are majorly lagging compared to the rest of my body - I've never directly trained them and they just don't want to grow as quick as the rest of me.

I have always racked the bar with the bench and put down the weight with the dumbbell.

from personal experience you won't have the energy for arm work on the off day, and this really is a 'torso hips legs' mass program. I mean, it's in the name; mass made simple, not bodybuilding made simple.

I'd see if you have enough in the tank to do some extra 'arm' work on your workout days; you will probably find you do not. I will say though, from what I see (not experience, I'm finishing MMS standard now), looks like MMS Lite is more heavy on the arm stuff, so you might see more of the kind of mass you want from that.

Rack it.

Yes, definitely rack between the 2, the 3, and so on. They are bunched together just as a conceptual unit (10 total reps).

And, as far as arm work, this is my second time doing MMS. I'd encourage you to just do the program as is and not stress the arm work. It's plenty difficult as written, and you'll be surprised how big your arms get even without specific "arm work".
