Was printing some original negatives from the Life magazine collection and I came across some photos of Clint Walker (played Cheyenne Bodie in the TV western) with some iron. Pretty neat!

Correction, it's the Look Magazine collection. Still largely uncatalogued, so you never know what you'll find! Look dedicated to the public all rights it possessed in the collection, but the images can't be used for advertising purposes. Photo credit: Library of Congress, Look Magazine photograph collection. It does seem as if these were taken at his home.

For an update on Clint, the folks who release old TV Shows on DVD recently released the first season of Cheyenne and the Boston globe had a quote from Clint saying he was surprised and pleased at the public's response so it appears that he is alive and well. Does anyone have any further news of his status???

Clint is well and living in the Sierras a few hours from here. His eyes aren't good so he's not driving, but is healthy and happy.

CJ, I got this report from our pal TR Strong, who sees him often and talks with him regularly.

What a natural athlete! I'll never forget how big he looked in "The Dirty Dozen."

Find Clint in "Yellowstone Kelly". It's a great western. Not as good as "Shane" but close.

Great pic(s)... thanks.

And thanks for the up-date on Clint Walker... he's one of my favorite actors as well.

His sister and bother in law had a health food store in Belleville Ill for years. I used to shop there. They were big into herbs. I might also add that they lived above the store. I believe she was older then Clint.
It don't matter

You know, when I was a little kid and his movies would be on, namely "The Dirty Dozen", i would think, "Wow! Now that's the way I want to look!" Given the era in film, he was in really good shape in that movie when you look back on it. I was about 10-12 years old when I first saw it and it was around then that I started working out, little by little. So I guess you could say that he was a bit of an inspiration for me at the time.

My memory of early cowboy stars is fading, but wasn't Clint a bricklayer working a construction site when he was discovered in Hollywood?
