Would this be part of Dan's idea of training capitalism?

Have the frequent training ideas of Bednarski (and others) travelled to Romania and back to America through guys like John Broz?

Bednarski was miles ahead of his time, but he did say he wished he would have stayed with Joe Mills as a coach...more "other stuff"...less squatting, as I recall.

Grimek was another one who trained everything everyday for five to six days a week. Oly lifting was part of his BB work. I did think that Grimek was really Superman.

Do you know if he varied his intensity or worked heavy every day, John?

Grimek varied his ex. for each body part. He also trained as he felt. He also said that he trained for up to five hours each day with no ill effects. He was nicknamed the hog because of the large amounts of food he ate.

It's as if there are favourable responses to everything from daily training to very intermittent training as long as you move heavy weight, recover, and eat well. Some go to extremes of training very little and have good effects, some go the extreme and train everyday and have good effects.

It seems like a similar situation with food. You can eat one meal a day and do well, you can eat three meals and snacks a day and do well as long as the food is good.

We get caught up in every new variation on these themes because we're searching I guess, and maybe a little fickle.

With all the interest that Broz has stirred up and even Wendlers input I am surprised no-one has raised the storey of Big Jim Williams who bench Mon to Fris 5 days a week and was so far ahead of the rest of the world it was not funny

675 to 617

1 metre elbow wraps surgical (shirts were stil 15 + years away) , not modern, 1-2 sec pause on chest, flat back and he almost locked out 700

also ala Westside did lots of assist

(but definitley few deads)
