Last year I made two simple resolutions. To sleep at least 8 1/2 hours per night and to walk 10,000 steps per day. Review in the data from my smart watch I see that I average nine hours and seven minutes of sleep and 11,150 steps per day. Pretty good. Did I notice any transformational changes? Not really. I mean I feel good. Suspect the benefits from this kind of thing are The avoidance of the negative. Like the weight I didn’t gain, a heart attack I didn’t have, the depression I didn’t get etc. both have become so automatic that they don’t need to be resolutions are a special effort anymore. I didn’t need any resolutions around working out as I’ve done that consistently for 40 years.
