I am at 3 months post-op. The hip feels good most of the time unless I overdo it by doing too many chores around the house.
I can finally put my shoes and socks on without any help. I am doing lots of stretching especially hamstrings because they are really tight.
I am not at the point where I don't think about it and sometimes I get a lack of stability that makes me a little afraid of falling.
I went to Physical Therapy 3 times a week. Being a gym rat I really pushed the limits.
I'm already looking forward to next summer. I should be able to get out on the Kayak and I plan to do some long distance bicycle riding.
Thanks again for all the encouragement.

Sounds like you are right on schedule and doing well, John. Eventually, you'll think about it less and less. Sure, it's not perfect and we gym rats overdo it at times but try to keep in mind where you were before the surgery and you'll realize how fortunate you are. Good luck!
