I like Boris's idea. Challenging.

So, the challenge is...
205 (weight) x 46 (age)

After reading that...I don't like Boris's idea.

Here we go!
Today...give all that you have.

So what's going on over here?

Oddly, I just noticed Boris' log isn't updated either. Hmmmm...you guys didn't challenge each other enough?

Good eye. Let me explain. I had a meet last Saturday Oct. 27. (Gotta a couple of cruddy vids in my log.) I squat on Sundays, so last Sunday was obviously out. My challenge starts tomorrow, and I will begin my updates. But thanks for keeping me honest Laree.

As a side note, my training partner decided to join the challenge. He knocked his out last night...first attempt. Of course he's only 26.

That's not fair! If you're in your 20s, you have to do something heavier (unless you weigh 315 or more of course...)!

Are you permitted to keep the bar on your shoulders and take a rest, or do you have to do constant reps? I did widowmakers a while back with a bit over bodyweight and those were harsh even with a 5-10 second pause at the end.

For me, once my reps get into the upper teens I'm just trying to catch my breath between reps. I learned early on in this challenge not to wear a belt. My reps were getting up in the upper teens and I was really struggling for air, so I blurted to my training partner to take my belt off. He didn't understand me at first, and by the time he got it off I was done. In other words...it was still very hard to catch my breat by just standing there. So, easier without a belt. I just originally thought the belt would help due to the number of reps I was attempting. Basically, the reason I stop, or better said, the reason I've not hit 46 yet is the struggle for air, not my legs or back or anything else. Just the struggle to breathe. So I've been trying to knock the reps out and pace myself, usually 2-3 big breaths between reps. I hope I answered the question.

Honestly, 46 reps seems a bit out of reach right now. It certainly sucks though.

185 x 5
225 x 5

obviously, no real eoyc work today. a lotta work to do later today, and several people depending on it, so...
you see, the eyoc squat work really blasts me.
in other words, it is getting old.
in other words, I don't like it very much.
in other words, I sissied out today.

Flop? Not. I, for one, will allow for multiple sets.

Happy New Year Ty, no matter how you finished that challenge that was one hell of a squat adventure and a set of 26 at 205 is pretty damn impressive.
