I knew a guy that worked over there for a while and I've known a lot of people that went over there on vacation and I knew a guy that went to high school over there.I guess the correct word would be non-Hawaiians,anyway they all say that the local Hawaiians hate mainlanders and are very rude for the most part.They call us howleys.

I've been to Hawaii 3 times and never met a Hawaiian who was rude to me. I worked with many locals on a Navy base (Pearl Harbor) and met many in the local pubs in the evening.
I believe there are most likely some that have the local "attidtude" but then we have some locals with the same 'tude here in SoCal...
