Doyle was the first man to Dead 900 pounds. I remember reading that he would eat 5 pounds of beef and drink 2 gallons of whole milk a day and died at a young age from heart disease (Duh!) but I can't find anything on his training.

There was an article on Fred Hatfield's website (drsquat.com) but I can't seem to access it now.

It was about Dr Squat's encounter with DK, don't remember if there was anything about his training regimen.

'Little one, take care of your gastrointestinal tract
and it'll take care of you.'
Then she struck me with some salted herring."

About 10 years ago he was posthumously inducted into York's Hall of Fame. If they have anything on their site, it may mention Kenady's training.

Doyle (The Grizzly Bear) was a scary looking individual. I remember Dr. Todd interviewing him at the 1976 (?) World Powerlifting Championship...asking him if he thought Jon Cole was the strongest man in the world. (If my memory serves) His answer was brief and succinct:

"Definitely not!"

Doyle and his crew pretty much stuck to the basics. Meaning a lot of the three lifts, not a lot of assistance work and IIRC, they had more off days than work days.
Mark it Zero.

He was a nice guy. His appearance was cultivated more for effect than anything else.
