I came in the emergency room in ambulance the 24th. No bone damage but two big holes and muscle loss I am thinking one legged squat, push up on my knees and doing a seated press with a chair. Any suggestions

Let your body heal. I mean, give your whole body time to rest and recuperate. There will be time enough after to train again.

Sounds traumatic and I agree with lucktree that some rest is in order. How mobile are you? What does your doctor think and how long do you expect to be hospitalized?

Training in a hospital with a injured leg

I'm very sorry to hear about an injury - I bet that ruined Christmas...

A long time ago (maybe 30 years) I read a story in some book about training of a Russian athlete who broke one leg badly and was in hospital for a long time. He trained the other one, and visualised a huge amount the training he would have done, and he came out of hospital with way more strength and size in the injured leg than anyone could believe. I'm racking my brains to remember more.

Anyway if it's safe to work the rest of your body, and a week post whatever happened, I'd suggest to start with isometrics: planks/pushups, side plank, bridge on the good leg. If going for single leg squats, start with box squats getting up off a chair - sit with good foot flat and bad leg out in front, rock back a bit, rock forward to get in balance, then push. If you did that each time you needed to get up, you'd basically be on Easy Strength

I got shot in the leg with a shot gun accidentally.
It missed the bone and major artery. I still waiting on the skin graft. I just walked down a long hallway and back. Everyone here is amazed how good I am doing. So all I lost was muscle.I am hoping to be out in a week

Based upon the additional information, I'd think that the exercises should be fine along with what walking you can do. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

No.
I don’t want to reveal who shot because it was an accident

I agree with walking however much you can (and feel good doing). Then, any kind of pushing or pulling you can do off the bed or using the door or doorway. But I also wouldn’t worry too much since it sounds like you’ll be out soon. Just do whatever activity keeps you entertained so you don’t get too bored. You’ve got a great attitude and will heal well, Tom.

I agree with Baby Sister...if walking doesn't cause any issues...walk.
In fact, ANY exercise you do will benefit. Your body is a system and what you do in any area will have some effect on the total organism. Mild isotonics/isometrics or even just flexing various muscles/muscle groups will be beneficial.

He said he got shot in the leg. Cheney is a face-shooting guy. But only if you're a friend.
Why are you squatting in the curl rack?
