Anyone ever tried a crosscore suspension trainer?

https://crosscore.com/

It was championed by dragon door & Marty Gallagher sometime around 2012-2014.

Don't think it ever really took off but I remember seeing it & always thought it was interesting.

I found one available in the UK for half price & chucked it on my wishlist.
Kept drawing my attention then I realised the dragon door crosscore book was on Amazon relatively cheap so I bought it & skimmed it.

Thought what the hell & pulled the trigger on the crosscore.

I'm currently without my KB or BB/DB as I have just sold my flat & am living with my partner with both of us looking for another house once she sells this place.

Got a shopping bag with a load of jump stretch bands, door anchor, furniture sliders & a poor knock off TRX.

Doing Armor of War by T Furman with BW, bands & TRX while my gear is in storage.

Worst case I figure I have a better quality suspension trainer.

Put weights overhead. Pick weights off the floor. Carry weights.
Reread great books. Say thank you

Hey Cearball

Please post an update on how you go with that program once you've had it running a while - the crosscore is a compelling bit of gear, and it's been on my wishlist forever.

I was thinking of your home gym I have seen on YouTube when I bought the crosscore.
I was thinking I am slowly amassing as much tools as D John.

So much for when I just had a pull up bar & a few KB's & swore I wouldn't get anything else ??

Just to clarify is that on the Armor of war programme or on the programme from the DD crosscore book?

So my new toy arrived.

Had a little play around.

So far I am a little underwhelmed.

Does this add anything a TRX type thing or gymnastic rings didn't.....?

The only thing I can see are assisted one arm moves are easier/smoother to perform.

Adjusting length is a pain aswell.

Hmmmm

Really glad I didn't pay full price.

£60 still feels like too much.

Just tried the hardest single arm moves mentioned.

The rotation assisted one arm row & rotation assisted one arm pushup.
Not as hard as one may think TBH

One issue is when attached to a door the handles in thier shortened state to allow me to be horizontal meant they weren't long enough to allow the full movement. They got caught in the pulley system.

A true one arm pushup/row on a TRX would be harder & the core isn't the limiting factor (both good & maybe bad point as they may not allow one to work up to a true one arm pushup due to this for example)

A few moves I think this apparatus could be good for is an assisted one arm dip & assisted one arm pull up.
I can't test it in this manner as I don't have anywhere to hang the equipment vertical with free clearance.
