Hey guys

Revisiting this after a crazy period of life. Nothing bad, just cumulative effect.

Was back focusing on regressed movements eg to get better at skill based work or what I would call top of the pyramid movements, I simply focus on movements lower down the developmental pyramid eg breathing, rolling, regressed gait pattern


After retesting some movements and seeing nice results, I manged to catch some wee bug. Left me down for the week with nausea and fatigue. Getting there.

Anywhoo....my 'more challenging' movement training saw me combine my dog walks with some Heavy Hands.

About 3 times a week I take the dogs to a local short steep hill. It's about 15 minutes uphill walking, about half of this is on toes.
I started doing this with light DB's (maybe 1-2kg's) and working through some HH movements. I tend to count out about 50 steps and then switch.

I usually use:
Normal marching with straight arms to shoulder height or above....
Overhead press....
Curl....

That's it....nothing sexy, I often just use the standard march. It works and it is combined well with hill walking and dog corralling.

That's pretty good! I think anything that includes the dogs and weights is always good.

Haha thanks to you both.

To keep things fresh and with my love of simplicity. I am now also either crawling the same route (various terrain and on flat, uphill/downhill etc), takes about 30 minutes in one go.
