I had this idea bogging my mind based on the rep scheme used in EES. What if you would use each day in EES as a week and up the reps. Something like this:

week 1, 2: 3x8 all reps same weight
week 3: 8-5-3 increasing weights or just 3x5, something heavier than the 3x8 workout.
week 4, 5, 6: 3x8
week 7: 3x3, 5x2 whatever. just heavier than the 8-5-3 or 3x5 workout
week 8: deload or carries only. Maybe lower the reps (2x10 er so??)
week 9: 3x8
week 10: 8-5-3 increasing weights or just 3x5, something heavier than the 3x8 workout.

For oly lifting 3x8 would be 8 triples or doubles. 3x5 would be 5 triples or doubles and really heavy day could be 6 heavy singles.

The goal is to increase the weights for the 3x8 / 8x 2-3 workouts

Would something like this actually work as a minimalist program picking 2 exercises each day, twice a week?

I can see why you would put this together. I guess my issue would be in the doing.

Five days a week? Prolly not.
Three days? Good idea.

No I mean once a week... as a "progression model".
For example with the transformation program. Instead of 3 sets of 8 every week.
