I just bought a pair of Skechers Max Cushion Shoes. I have only tried them once for a 4 mile walk. I plan to test them further with short runs. I had to switch from running to walking due to the hard impact from running on a road. It's just convenient to run from my house since I live in a very nice area. But the impact from running took days to recover from any jog. I'm hoping things change with these new shoes I just bought and tried once. Getting ready to try a second time.

I've tried cushioned shoes before that felt like pillows and they were terrible since there is no bounce back. These seem better but still trying them out for Cardio and eventually for Lifting. They do add 1" to your height over normal sneakers.

And now it's time to get a new weightlifting belt. Walmart has nice belts that are inexpensive and that's good for the times you forget your belt at the gym.

If you ever have the chance try the Skecher's Max Cushion shoes if you are ever in a shoe store that carries them. Do not have to buy them just try on a pair and walk around the store. They are very expensive. But for my cardio Walking they are very good since they take the impact and not my feet. Soon I will try them for jogging.

Although they are great for walking along straight surfaces for me at least going up hills then the shoes cause different stresses in the foot and I would rather wear a normal shoe for Hills. Thanks.

My last Adding to this thread but thought this really might help others.

My Sketcher Ultra Max Cushion shoes are Great. I just ran 2 miles this morning and plan a 3 mile walk after work today. My feet no longer hurt after a short run or long walk. I feel like I have the feet of a 30 year old again. No Pain No Gain is for the Fossil History Bin. No Pain MORE Exercise, at least for me.

These shoes literally have allowed me to do Cardio again. Thanks.

Thank YOU! I had not heard of those runners.
I tried a pair of these Adidas deals, maybe they were so cheap because they're discontinued or something, I dunno. They're made for summer, hot weather and they have little open squares on the sole and some sort of system that "draws" the air underfoot up and through the shoe. If I wear 'em without socks, I can feel air going around and past my feet.

Way nice trippy feeling for sure.
Take it easy, Breezy.
But not in the rain, no, not then.
Life's too short to worry about longevity.

Adding, the shoes are very expensive ~$100. I never find them On Sale since they are too popular lucky to even find them in my popular size 10 1/2.

They do have eyelets for shoe laces and they come with shoes laces that have no ends that are already in the shoe eyelets. You simply slip on the tennis shoes. I normally do not like those but the shoe laces stretch a little bit and are very comfortable. However I did buy a pair of shoelaces for when the time comes I can replace those current built in shoe laces (just a quick snip and they are out) with regular shoelaces.

Really, really great on the feet. They give you an extra inch over regular tennis shoes and make you a bit taller. They have a slightly wider shoe bottom to counter the additional height. The main thing they are soft but still firm on the feet. Really great to walk or run in on mainly LEVEL ground. Thus far they are the favorite exercise shoe I have ever had. And, they are far better than adding padded insoles to the shoe since they were built to be soft and firm and fit the entire foot without any issues.

The difference between those and my Adidas Gel shoes is now my feet do not hurt when I do long walks or go jogging. Since they are expensive I only wear them for exercise.
