Just handing down what I was handed down...

Make a Difference.
Live. Love. Laugh.
Balance work, rest, play and pray (enjoy beauty and solitude)
Sleep soundly. Drink Water. Eat veggies and protein. Walk.
Wear your seat belt. Don’t smoke. Floss your teeth.
Put weights overhead. Pick weights off the floor. Carry weights.
Reread great books. Say thank you

  • Dan John Said:

the T. rex’s slow acceleration and inspiring teeth would give the average runner a reasonable chance of outsprinting or outmaneuvering the lumbering predator

Unless the T-Rex already knew the works of Phil Maffetone.
"I think we often spend too much time focusing on max fitness
and not nearly enough on maintaining our minimums.
It seems we need to think sustainable rather than obtainable.
Meaning whatever we do today, we can do it again tomorrow.
Never taking so much from ourselves that we can't."

At Christ the King school in the 1960s, girls and boys didn’t mix on the playground. The former were on the south side of the building, hidden from the latter on the north. All K-8 of us, however, were on the playground at the same time. To avoid the many bullies, skinny guys like me quickly learned to change directions and speeds when being chased, just like the guys in the article would have to do to evade dinosaurs.

In the hands of a clever teacher, the material in this article would probably have helped me and lots of other guys develop an interest in the sciences and given us an alternative to the Baltimore Catechism to explain why we even existed.
