I think you may really enjoy him Dan.

I love the all but the Nightwatch/Guards series may be my favourite.

Anyone else read his work?

There is a book I liked...but it WHOOSHED right out of my head as I started typing. Sorry.

As I recall, a lot like Neal Gaiman?

Loved Good Omens, definitely my type of humor. I liked the TV show quite a bit. I wanted to read some more Terry Pratchett after that book but never got around to it.

Along the Good Omens "theme" I just finished Lamb by Christopher Moore. Definitely blasphemous if you don't like to mix humor with religion. But as is mentioned in the movie Dogma: " remember: even God has a sense of humor. Just look at the platypus."

Night Watch is my favorite book (if I was forced to choose only one), but they're all great.

A visual reference for anyone wondering where to start, or how they all relate to each other: Reading Order Guide
This, too, shall pass

That guide is real handy.

If people like the mix of religion & humour I really enjoyed "Small God's" which is a bit of a stand alone book so you don't need to worry about where you jump into the timeline.

Is the book you’re thinking of Good Omens? He and Neil Gaiman (one of my all time favorites) co-wrote it. I love that book and Amazon did a mini series on it.

I find Terry Pratchett far less dark then Neil Gaiman which can be either good or bad depending what you are looking for.

If you lift a the top of my skull, you will find Sir Terry's fingerprint on my brain.

But, less dark than Gaiman? Terry Pratchett is one of the angriest and at times darkes writers I know.

By the way, here are two other great ones to try if you are fond of short fiction as well: N. K. Jemisin's short story The City Born Great, for a start) and Tina Connolly's The Last Banquet of Temporal Confections. Both are phenomenal.
