Hi, I've just completed workout 3 of the programme, I really had to work to get my first 2-3-5 set in, and the last one was a nasty looking grind from the start, and devolved rapidly, although I did get the reps.
My question is, should I still attempt to increase the weight for the next workout (22.5--> 25kg) if I can't press the 25 for 5 at the moment, let alone 2-3-5? I'm planning to try it anyway and see how far I get, but am open to a sensible alternative.
Cheers, Jonty

I'd stick to the lighter weight, and make sure you get all the reps in. You'll probably feel ready to go up in weight after a couple more weeks.

Your shoulders will be fried after the bench press, so as long as that's progressing each session don't be too concerned with the one arm press, especially as you've got the complexes coming up - the press part of which is normally the limiting factor.

Would I still look for some form of progression, like add an extra round of 2-3-5, or go to 3-3-5 or 2-3-6 or something like that?

I don't think so, no.

I'd stick to the same weight until you can move up with confidence. I'd also try eating more; gaining weight will help your presses.

I'm up 3kg so far, I am doing what I can with the eating, calories are ~4k. I'll have a go at the higher weight for a few reps and be prepared to just get the reps in with the lighter one if it goes poorly

Managed 25*2-3-5*2 somehow. I gave myself some leeway and the rests were upto 30s for the breaks inside the set, and I'm up another 3kg since the last workout, which has probably helped. I now have several workouts to get it looking pretty
