I always get pain in the left arm (flexor)... I haven't been using any supps except Bomber Blend Protein. Maybe time to get some body ammo... The pain feels muscular. The flexor hurts when I wake up in the morning as if I'd been contracting it all night... I may post a thread on this as it's been there for about a year.

I'm a glutton for punnishment..... hehe....

Yeah, where do you get the time? Stingo it is impressive vertically or horizontally. I see you were training your armies too. Do we have a new combat unit coming along there? Or were you just feleating again.

Looks like your getting back into the groove, Stingo. You use a lot of DB work. I still have difficult doing the presses with DBs. They want to fly all over the place. I guess thats a personal challange for the future.

The new pic looks great. I can see where people thought we looked somewhat alike. Handsome dudes, aren't we? LOL

And therein lies the benefit of using dumbbells. Plus, they often allow you to find a "pain-free" groove.

Since my aging shoulders began giving me pain issues, I've all but abandoned Flat Bench press and opt'ed for DB presses... I really like these little buggers and my shoulder doesn't hurt so bad. Besides, I liked what Mike Katz had to say bout getting a better squeeze at the top with the DBs...

Yeah, Berry... Before ya know it, everyone will want to look like us! ha!!

One thing I remember reading about DB presses is that you can get your upper arm below parallel, making for a greater range of movement. Like I said, when I put benching back into my routine, I'll focus on DBs instead of barbells for a while (or at least mix it up).

Mike Katz (the CHEST-MAN), really advocates DBs over the flat press, even for the simple biomechanics for chest improvement... While Bench press has it's bennies, Mike believes DBs is the way to go for hitting pecs and building a big chest... I tend to agree. I am already SEEING a difference in my chest in the three weeks I've been using them. A side bennie is saving the shoulders...
5 sets minimum and GOOD form, really squeezing and holding it at the top. Another bennie is when lowering them you can either keep elbows in close or wide to 90 degrees to hit different parts of the chest. I go slowly too, no rushing the presses. Enjoy every grueling moment of the movement.
It's hard to do all that while locked onto an oly-bar.

I hope you're feeling better today. You can get back to the iron when you are well. You need the energy to heal so eat, drink and sleep. And don't go running back and forth from the warm house to the cold outdoors. Not a good thing!

I got the Doc's good report today on my Strep/Tonsilitis. It's gone! No more infection. Just left with lots of crud in my Tonsil cavities that needs to come out. Have an appointment with a specialist on the 8th to look at them. If they are clean and normal before then, I have the Doc's permission to cancel the appointment. Having a Tonsilectomy at almost 49??? NOT FUN!!! Don't wanna do it... Aint gonna happen...

As soon as I feel good enough to. Either I got my hair cut too short, or I am still week from all the poison and drugs in my system the past two weeks. Last night I could still feel tightness in the top of my breathing, and a bit of fatigue. I am a bit sore (DOMS) this morning as I haven't had a real w/o for two+ weeks. My plan for my new w/o is to increase the weight and decrease the reps to 5-6 per set.

hehehe.....

No worries my friend...
I've seriously got my eye on the DL challenge (challenging myself). I'm sure I'll outlift all the women ;-) ... But some of them ladies are getting some good numbers!!! My goal at this point is 'elusive'. I want to surprise myself, I guess...

When I committed to 300 deadlift, I said to my self "Self are you crazy?" But I'm going to for at least a 1RM of 300 before year end. I think I could do 200 for several reps right now, but don't want to push it and my grip is still a little weak. Probably have to get myself an early chrismas gift of lifting straps.
