Hi,

As mentioned in the title a comment made me look up Rusty Moore & the potatoe diet.

So basically my question is the potatoe diet looks like something I could try.

But there are other courses by Rusty Moore.

So far I am considering

https://visualimpactfitne ss.com/high-carb-fat-loss/

Or this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Potato-Hack-Weight-Los s-Simplified-ebook/dp/B01 DL0RGXE/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?cr id=...

I bought the above as it was cheap enough anyway.

Any other thoughts/recommendations?

Rusty has all the information about the hack in his articles.
https://visualimpactfitne ss.com/articles/

I probably go through these articles monthly or more pulling information out.

I like his whole body of work (ha!) and I hope you find value here.

Which product are lightning rounds in? Googling didn't get me an answer there.

I'm planning on trying 3-7 days of the potatoes hack starting Monday.

Closet vegans lol

I might test this one with a question I had, and I saw repeated in the writeup. Alternating days. This question arises because I don't want to stop training.

I think 3 days in a row is probably the best for weight loss results, it sounds like. Those rebounds are the tricky part and what sounds like the 3 days addresses. Alternating days and including training with a day of rounded meals, with potato days would be an interesting test.

After writing that out actually, it doesn't sound like the best idea if your goals are gains in size or strength. The ole serving two masters trick, I've never read on a successful experience. I guess you could work conditioning if that is your current goal, though.

Still, it might be fun just to see what happens.

I think i liked about this option is it sounds easier than most from a willpower perspective.

Eat nothing but potatoes but eat until your full.

Currently on day 6 pretty sure I'm losing fat but wouldn't be surprised if muscle has been lost aswell.
Weight is down about 3.5kg or 7.7 Lbs.

Yesterday was the hardest.
Went shopping ready to come off the potatoe diet & my mouth was watering all the way around the supermarket.

Things I discovered plain baked potatoes are actually pretty nice. Weirdly sweet.
I'm not super hungry on this diet but there here's to a point where I'm hungry enough to eat but just don't want potatoes.

I have only trained once on this diet.
Didn't change my programme at all & did Armour of war by Tom Furman which is a mainly bodyweight strength course.

By the end I felt like I was going to throw up. Really didn't feel good.

I'm going on Rusty Moore High Carb Fat Loss diet soon.

Though its surprising how many foods have too much fat to be eaten on it including quite a bit of bread.

I need to work down some of the items in my pantry before fully committing to it but it should be interesting.

The two day Potato Hack worked for a photo shoot I had to do. I'm not sure it is a lifestyle for me.

Reminder: Rusty's Lightning Rounds was only released once, then he pulled it back. I liked it a lot. He does this: he releases an early version, gets a Facebook group to try it, then adjusts.

It's actually the Internet Scientific Method, honestly. I didn't know that Easy Strength for FAt Loss was a thing until I read about people doing it.

It's a Potassium flush, though. One thing I like about any short little thing like this is how much more I appreciate just damn eating.

Amen!

Exactly, potassium, sodium, magnesium are so important.

I drink a ton of water, cut back my sugar, up my magnesium/vit d via supplements, eat bananas, avocados, etc.

Currently doing R Moore's "high carb fat loss."

One of the times I was leanest was after 3 months in SE Asia one month of that was pretty much just rice & vegetables.
