I'm finally making good progress on the memories collection, happy to say. I have a question about arranging the articles and am looking for your opinion.

Would you start at the beginning (age 7 with a set of grippers), or open with that strong Dungeon piece, then dip back into the earlier years? Both the gripper and Dungeon columns are fun, so either will open well.

Whatcha think?

Open with the Dungeon column.

Yep, that's how I have it so far. Figured that was right! Thanks.

I realize the responses will be both and either way - going chronologically or going back and forth - will work. I would also vote for the Dungeon articles as the starting point and then bouncing back to "child Dave". I think that would make more of an impact.

It should start, at least with a brief preamble, where all great stories begin; in Secaucus. Then off to splintertown gym at muscle beach for the Dungeon piece, then lil' gripper.
So yes, pretty much jump right in with the legendary dungeon.

It’s going really well now. This pretty much always happens when I’m working on book material, doesn’t really matter which book. There’s a real slog period, then things come together and make sense. That’s where we are now, so it should go pretty fast from here.

This is some really beautiful writing. I bugged Dave for YEARS to do a memoir, but he wasn’t interested. Now that I see all this material together, I realized he’s already done it.

Dungeon, if it still matters.

How cool is that!
It goes over and under and back and forth in time.
How trippy is that!

Hi Laree,

In your email today you noted Dave's new book is likely to be available next month.

How can I get my copy autographed this time, please?

Thanks.

Sorry to make it more difficult than it used to be. Dave will happily sign books! But you'll have to mail it to us. He's not going to sign a bunch in advance this time. Media mail is pretty cheap, under $3. It'll just be a little extra hassle on your end. Sorry for that!
