Is there anyone here that only drinks distilled water?I've thought of just drinking distilled water to see if it makes a difference I can feel.

Essential for the protection of your precious bodily fluids. That and rain water and grain alcohol. Maybe vodka, too.
Why are you squatting in the curl rack?

There are those that warn against drinking distilled water for long periods of time or as your sole source of hydration. There is the belief that it will strip minerals and potentially other essential compounds away from your body. I'm not sure if there's truth to these claims, but apparently this is a fairly strong debate concerning the drinking distilled H2O.

It's not true that distilled water will affect your mineral balance. Think about it. If every time you ate/drank, the osmotic gradient created by the substance in your GI tract caused your body's mineral status to fluctuate, we would be prone to wildly changeable mineral status. and this is not the case. personally I drink Berkey-filtered water or reverse osmosis and haven't looked into distilled too much. but definitely don't have to worry about minerals. you get those from food, or supplements.

I drink Spring Water to ensure I get valuable minerals. I assume man sprang from Spring Water over the millions of years we evolved (or un-evolved).

I stand side by side with Mother Nature whenever possible.

I'm not saying that it does effect mineral balance, I just know that there are some with strong opinions on the subject. I've never really looked into with any level of depth.

Yeah, I realized after I posted that it sounded like I was criticizing your view. I wasnt, I was responding to the "some people" view that you mentioned.

As far as spring water goes, unless you get it free from the ground, it's a waste of money and resources (gas, bottles) IMO. humans get minerals from plants and the animals that eat them. The plants chelate inorganic minerals into a bioavailable form.

I think the only time I would resort to drinking distilled water only would be during a long fast. Either that, or in the presence of questionable water quality available to me.
