Dave Draper Workout Motivation — Workout Inspiration — Dave Draper Bodybuilding Writer

A compilation of Dave’s best articles

Davedraper.com newsletter subscribers, this is the one for you!

Running weekly since early 1999, when this book was published there were over 350 columns — It was nearly impossible to narrow it down to the top 62 that would make the cut, but we think you’ll agree, these are the best!

Edit we did, and the best of the best remain, collected here in Iron On My Mind. When you’re heading for the gym and need a kick in the tail, Dave will be right there by your side. Grab your book, flip through a few pages and go!

In Dave’s preface, he writes, “Iron On My Mind is a collection of sixty-two newsletters from the original 350 published over the years. Each chapter is a trip of its own. And throughout the book what I call blasts, bombardments of info, energy, caution and reprimand, are periodically inserted to affirm your purpose, aright your direction and challenge your performance. There is no theme, the articles follow no order. They can be ingested randomly when the spirit moves you, like a shot of wonder protein before a workout. Sip or slug, I hope they satisfy and you never grow full.”

  1. mike graham

If ever there was a “Guardian Angel” in the world of muscle building it is Dave Draper. When you need help with your training or your eating or your motivation Brother Dave is there with a comfortable shove in the right direction. “Iron on My Mind” will not let you down.

  2. Michael

The philosophy and wisdom of the Blonde Bomber, Dave Draper. It does not get any better than this unless you could talk with him in person. Easy going manner, very easy reading. Golden Age information, stories and motivation. You won’t go wrong grabbing a copy and sitting back to read before heading to the gym.

  3. Steve T.

Dave Draper has a knack for writing about solid and proven fitness advice without sounding like a guy who is writing about fitness. You’ll be entertained, moved, informed, and it won’t hurt a bit. This is one you can read over and over and spot something new every time out. Highly recommended.

  4. Frank J

If you’re feeling down, lack motivation or are staring at that banana split you shouldn’t have, grab this book. Yeah, not everyone has time to read a book in its entirety, that’s why Mr Draper has broken this up into small, readable snippets. Got 2 minutes, open the book, read a snippet and catch that wave to the gym…Excellent book to carry in your gym bag….Highly Recommended!
