Byron's sure to have some good stuff to add in this section. Meanwhile, you should find some great stuff over at
Dan John's, the late JV Askem's and of course, for news and the greatest photos, visit IronMind.
- Ian King's got a DVD series on learning the Olympic lifts, bravo stuff, as is all his material.
- The Weightlifting Encyclopedia
- And let's not forget Artie Drechsler, who's also running the Association of Oldtime Barbell and Strongmen now that Vic Boff is no longer with us. Artie's Weightlifting book is the most comprehensive book on training that I've ever seen; you will not be disappointed. He's also got a demonstration video, and he's one good teacher.
- You'll also want to watch this free 60-minute video of Dan John teaching Olympic lifting, then you should spring for his 3-part Everything's Over My Head dvd.
- Mike's Gym
- Mike Burgener coaches a number of national level weightlifters and other athletes. He has a lot of great material on the Bulgarian system on his site.
- Lift Up, the History of Weightlifting
- Arthur Chidlovski has clips of many of the sport's legends, must see material for anyone interested in weightlifting!
- Tom Gorman's Weightlifting site
- General weightlifting info, interesting photos and illustrations, and links to sites on the odd lifts and other related subjects, great dinosaur stuff.
- Weightlifting training tips by Jim Schmitz
- IronMind also provides a list of training tips.
- The HatchDome
- Articles, equipment, and lots of video from Gayle Hatch, coach of the 2004 US Olympic weightlifting team.
- Maryse Turcotte
- Canadian women's weightlifting champion's site, the "Action Photos" section has great high resolution photos.
- Teaching Progression for the basic lifts
