http://www.ergo-log.com/creatinecaffeine.html
If you take creatine, high daily doses of caffeine will cancel out its effect. But the effect of caffeine is apparently not so strong that it’s no use at all to creatine takers. A one-time high dose of caffeine does have an effect. So during a course of creatine you could occasionally use caffeine as a training booster. Taking caffeine daily is not a good idea though.
The article discusses three studies that looked at creatine usage with caffeine. The result is that caffeine reduces the levels of creatine in muscles.
It does not take much caffeine either. In the first study, 45 daily grams of creatine was ineffective when combined with 450 mg of caffeine. I likely have that much caffeine (or more) per day right now and I'm not even taking creatine.
Anyway, food for thought. If I had not just purchased a kilogram can of coffee, I may have considered trying decaf.

Hahah yeah :) I was thinking that a lot of "creatine non-responders" might just happen to be coffee drinkers.

So much for dumping creatine into my morning mug of coffee. Sheesh!

I drink a lot of coffee and i'm sure creatine works for me.
I have read about this other places too though. One thought i have is maybe if caffeine reduces creatine in your body then coffee drinkers should be the first to use creatine since they will already be low on it.

That would seem to make sense.
I don't use creatine I drinks lots of coffee (Timmies) haven't seen a problem. Maybe something the old farts need to worry about?

But then I've heard many say they workout harder and longer with caffeine in the system... Who knows what the heck is going on anyway? The more I learn the less I know! I better quit learning so much as pretty soon I won't have a clue!
Dang, too late.

Personally I find a jolt of caffeine gets me started in a workout but makes it more difficult as time goes on. It sucks when your heart just won't slow down.
