Dan has a "Left of Passage" workout in Return of the Kettlebell. The workout looks like this:

  • Quoting:
Monday-Medium Day
1. First combo: 3x(1,2,3)
2. Second combo: 8 repeats (80 double kettlebell swings, 320 meters of farmer's walks)

Wednesday-Light Day
1. First combo: 2x(1,2,3)
2. Second combo: 4 repeats (40 double kettlebell swings, 160 meters of farmer's walks)

Friday-Heavy Day
1. First combo: 4x(1,2,3)
2. Second combo: 10 repeats (100 double kettlebell swings, 400 meters of farmer's walks)

A question from IGx arose: Are the numbers in the second combo of totals or are they per round?

Example: On the heavy day, do you do 1000 swings and 4K of farmers walks over 10 rounds or 100 swings and 400m of farmers walks over 10 rounds?

Shaf,

if it comes from Dan i would guess it is the lower reps. never heard him promote rep schemes that high.

Dan does 1000 double swings then brushes his teeth with a lizard. He's that tough.

Left of Passage Question

Hi!

I have a different question about the Left of Passage.
Do you progress the same way as you would on the Rite of Passage? Adding "rungs" and ladders up to (1,2,3,4,5)x5 on the heavy day?

merci

Dan, if you were a real trainer the lizard would be paying for it.

You certainly can, but this is just a low end general conditioner. It was something I put together for someone with limited time and a LOT of needs...

Sorry for the dumb questions, but what does "low end general conditioner" mean?

Something similar to the RoP? If I can mule my way forward like I could on the RoP I am happy enough.
