Lower pec area

I have been following you since I picked up my first copy of All American Athlete. It featured an article on Joe Abbenda chest training and those ads with the blenders full of pro something or another. I was around 11, worked out in high school, joined the Marines at 17, got married and fat. Recently, I have been working out for three months. My problem is the lower pecs and the area between the pecs and lats under the arm pits. Declines? Please help.

Whatever you do, don’t do declines… too much lower pec development and we have hangy-pec problems in the near future.

For pec shape add slightly bent-arm cable crossovers a couple times a week (three sets of 10-12 rep range – one arm or both arms at once, your choice, or alternate).

I like machine dips with focus on pec recruitment. Lean into the movement…

I like stiffarm pullovers and pulldowns for lats, but they engage lower pecs as well if you think about it — you might add these to your workout where they fit… Light weight flat flys for thoughtful high reps are worth investigating (three sets X 12-15 reps, +)

Eat right, rest plenty, Godspeed… Dave
