Following a Natural Route
I follow as natural of a route as I can when it comes to the sport and train with the blood and guts intensity needed to constantly surpass the goals and bench marks I set for myself. I almost fully believe the game has lost its ethics and general spirit over the last 30 or so years. I am failing to see the classic lines, or general symmetry a bodybuilder is supposed to possess. But I train for the love of it and the personal gains I feel from it. The feeling of cold steel in my hands beats anything.
You have the rare good fortune of being hooked on clean, simple and basic musclebuilding in world of chaos. You are a son of the iron.
Train hard, eat right, be strong and have fun. Note, but reject the careless freeway traveled by the high-octane hot rods and monster trucks. This is your trip, not theirs. Take the high road, dig the journey, live well and win big.
Remember: The iron heals, mends, fortifies, toughens, vitalizes, enables, engages, entertains, satisfies, serves, instructs, humbles and makes a good door stop…
Go… God’s speed… Dave
